Party Shutdown Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers heard loud music and voices coming from the inside of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Officers observed beer being consumed inside the Fraternity. Officers made contact with the president of the fraternity and told them their party was being shut down because it was an unregistered party. Officers made all non-residents of the fraternity vacate. They were also asked to turn the music and keep their voices down.

Disposition: Administratively cleared. A copy of this report has been forwarded to Housing, The Physical Plant and Student Affairs for their review.

Found Property McFarlin Library

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to retrieve found property at the McFarlin Library. Upon arrival Officers were given a found ID card. The owner was determined and contacted and they retrieved their ID at the Security Office.

Fire Alarm Lottie Jane Mabee Hall

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Lottie Jane Mabee Hall in regards to a fire alarm. Officers checked the fire panel and determined that the source was in a room. Officers inspected the room and determined the cause of the alarm. TFD (Tulsa Fire Department) arrived on scene. Officers explained the incident to them. No smoke or fire was observed.

Synopsis: While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers observed several students walking from Pi Kappa Alpha's party shutdown to Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Officers walked to Kappa Alpha Fraternity and heard loud music and voices coming from inside. Officers observed beer cans being consumed inside. Officers made contact with the president and they were told their party was being shut down due to it being an unregistered party.

Housing Violation Mayo Village Apartments

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate a housing violation at Mayo Village. A non-TU affiliate was living on campus housing. Officer requested that that non-TU affiliate leave campus. The non-TU was compliant and left without incident.

Welfare Check John Mabee Hall

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to check the welfare on an individual residing in John Mabee Hall. Officers were able to make contact with the person and requested that they check in with their loved ones. Once contact was made the individual did call their loved ones and all was well.

Student Misconduct Mayo Village Apartments

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate suspicious activity in Mayo Village Apartments. Officers discovered a watermelon had been thrown from a second or third story balcony. Officers made contact with the suspect on the second floor; who stated they threw the watermelon earlier. The suspect would not initially tell officers their name or retrieve their student identification. After further interview, the suspect gave their student identification number for verification.

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Mayo Village Apartments to investigate possible individuals shooting each other with paintball guns. The individuals had already left the area before officers arrived. Paintballs and smashed food items were found in the area. No description was given of the individuals in question.

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Mayo Village Apartments to investigate a possible noise complaint. Officers were able to locate loud music and singing coming from an apartment. Officers made contact with the listed resident and asked them to turn their music down. The resident advised they would do so. Officers issued a housing contact card and left without further incident.

Officers made contact with the mentioned students, who advised they were listening to music and were not having an unregistered party. Officers confirmed there was not an unregistered party going on and informed the students they needed to turn down the music. Officers left without further incident.

Student Misconduct Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were conducting a party shutdown at Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Suspect left the fraternity and attempted to place their arm around an officer. The officer pushed away the arm of the suspect and asked them to leave. The suspect had a drinking cup in their hand and threw it at the same officer. It was unknown what the suspect said because it was in another language. Student was given a student misconduct.

Synopsis: While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers had a health insurance card turned in by a Tulsa Police Department (TPD) Officer. The owner was determined but was unable to be contacted so the property was placed into the property locker for safe keeping.

Synopsis: University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to retrieve found property at Chapman Hall. Security officers were given a water bottle, cap, day planner, a thumb drive with a key attached, a necklace and a pencil bag. The owners were unable to be determined or contacted so the property was placed into the property locker for safe keeping.
