University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the Lorton Hall parking lot. Officers spoke with the occupants of the vehicle who stated they were looking for the Lorton Performing Arts Center parking lot. They were notified on social media about an advertised trash bin filled with free scrap metal on campus. Officers found multiple individuals on campus attempting to retrieve the metal. Officers determined the ad was unauthorized and the individuals were not affiliated with the university. Officers explained the campus was private property and all the individuals left without incident. A copy of the report was forwarded to Housing, Student Affairs, Human Resources and the Physical Plant for their review.
