University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Oliphant Hall to investigate a possible smell of smoke coming from the 2nd floor. Officers entered Oliphant Hall and smelled the smoke smell in the basement of Oliphant Hall. Officers discovered a contractor with Platinum Mechanical was grinding metal in the basement and it was giving off a smoke smell without active smoke present. The Tulsa Fire Department was cancelled.
