University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Mayo Village Apartments to conduct a welfare check on a student who expressed possible intent to self-harm via text message. Alexander Health staff met officers at the residence to provide a mental health assessment. After interviewing the student, it was determined the student was sufficiently stable, and not an immediate danger to themselves. A follow up appointment with Alexander Health staff was made for the next day.
