University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate a possible student with thoughts of self harm. The Communication Center made contact with the on call counselor and made officers aware of the student’s request for help. Officers were able to locate the student and remain with them until the counselor was available. After an evaluation was made, the student agreed to seek further medical attention and was transported by officers to local medical facility.
