While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers noticed an individual looking into a dumpster in the Phillips Hall Lot. Officers initiated a Pedestrian Check and discovered the individual to be a former Tulsa University Student. Officers advised the individual to not go through the dumpsters on campus. No trespass warning was given and a contact card was made.

While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers noticed a vehicle in the Mayo Village Apartments parking lot suspected in numerous crimes on campus. Officers spotted the suspect in the 3400 building and after a brief foot pursuit officers were able to detain the suspect. The Tulsa Police Department was contacted and took custody of the suspect. University of Tulsa Campus Safety and  Security Officers were dispatched to investigate a pedestrian check at Norman Village Apartments. Officers made contact with an individual sleeping on a bench shirtless. Officers determined the individual was not affiliated with the University. Officers trespassed warned and escorted the individual off campus. A contact card was made.

University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers were dispatched to investigate possible vandalism to a student’s vehicle in the MLIB parking lot. Upon arrival Officers did not discover any evidence of vandalism, but did take a report of suspicious activity. The investigation is ongoing. University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers responded to Helmerich Hall after the Communications Center received a fire alarm signal coming from the building. It was determined the alarm was triggered by water pressure testing in the area. The Tulsa Fire Department was canceled. A copy of this report is forwarded to The Physical Plant for their review.

While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers in the  University Square West Parking Lot saw a driver side vehicle door was open. Officers investigated to see if someone had burglarized the vehicle and it was discovered a student was laying in the driver seat with it lounged towards the back seat. Officers explained our purpose was to investigate why the car door was open due to no one around the vehicle. The student was uncooperative and officers had to ask several times for the student’s identification. It was explained to the student that officers have to make a report because we made contact with the student and we need to report their vehicle and wellbeing was safe. University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity at the University Square South Apartments. Residents of the apartment stated window screens on the exterior of the apartment were taken off while they were out of town. There were no signs of forced entry and the residents reported no items were taken from the apartment. University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers investigated a noise complaint at Mayo Village Clubhouse. Upon arrival officers discovered a large speaker playing loud music at the pool area. Officers made contact with the owner of the speaker who decreased the volume. The owner stated they will keep the volume low and a housing contact card was made. Upon arrival made contact with a student who reported an apartment window in Lorton Village Apartments was pushed inwards. The residents of the apartment were not present. Officers cleared the apartment and found nobody inside. Nothing appeared to have been taken or destroyed. The window was secured and a voice message was left for the residents. University of Tulsa Campus Safety and Security Officers were dispatched to Mabee Gym in regards to a burglary from automobile which occurred between 11 JUN 2021 at 2200 and 12 JUN 2021 at 1230 in Brown Village. The victim stated their drivers license, social security card, and debit card were stolen from their wallet. Officers explained to the victim on how to file a report with the Tulsa Police Department. Upon inspection officers found a tag with a name of  a student on the bag. The owner was contacted and retrieved their backpack in the parking lot. The owner checked the backpack and said nothing was missing from it.

Upon arrival Officers met with the student who stated one of their apartment window screens had been removed and the window was open. The student advised they did not notice any items taken other than a prescription.  The student also advised all the windows in the apartment had been unlocked. The windows were secured and the apartment was cleared. The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) was not contacted. The incident occurred between 0800 on 03 JUN 2021 and 1510 on 08 JUN 2021.
