University of Tulsa Security officers observed a pickup truck headed westbound on E. 8th St. with multiple individuals riding and standing in the bed of the truck. Officers initiated a stop of the vehicle near Chapman Commons and determined the individual driving, and the passengers were university affiliates and that the passengers, who were under the legal drinking age, had consumed alcohol. After advising the affiliates of university policy, the driver was cited for reckless driving, and the passengers were advised to occupy available seats in the vehicle or walk to their campus residences.
